“Diana Her True Story” is the story of Diana Frances Spencer, who became the Princess of Wales. Diana was born into royalty to parents Viscount Althrop and Viscountess Althrop. From an early age, both parents subjected to their negativity and show of disappointment, as they wished for a son in order to carry on the Spencer name. Diana felt guilty and unwanted through most of her life, which led to her low self-esteem, insecurities and constant internal conflict. She was sent off to boarding school at an early age where again, despite being socially active; she was lonely, felt isolated and conflicted.

During a dark time in Princess Diana’s life, specifically during her marriage to Prince Charles, Diana’s’ self-esteem reached an extreme low. Her love for Prince Charles was apparent; becoming his wife was an event she was looking forward to. She hoped for his support however soon came to realize that this was not going to be the case. At one low point in her marriage, she began to realize that her husband might be having an affair. This affected her deeply in a negative way. Along with this, the pressure of constant media in her presence almost daily as well as the Queen doubting her ability to perform her public duties with a smile on her face all caused Princess Diana to suffer from severe depression. It was very difficult for Diana and it did not help that she felt Prince Charles was completely unsympathetic. It all seemed like a very vicious cycle and she tried relentlessly to bring to a halt. She knew she could not give up nor allow anyone to get in her way. While alone with Diana, on the night of their engagement, Prince Charles
