Looking back at past history, it is known that the Spanish and the French are colonizers. The Spaniards colonized many of the Latin American countries then the French did. However, it lead to rebellions to be separated from the Spaniards and the French colonizers. Many of the Latin American were able to separate from their colonizers which lead to a revolution. Rebellions and revolutions are hardly ever peaceful, instead includes brutal violence. In Peru, there is a Rebellion lead by Tupac Amaru II against the Spaniards while in Haiti a rebellion lead by Toussaint Louverture against the French. Amaru’s original name is Jose Gabriel Condorcanqul. He is a mestizo of Spanish and Indigenous parents. He is educated and wealth. He is the descendants of the Incas which inspired him in many ways who identify with the Incas more. Therefore, he tried for years through legal means to stop abuses, but it was unsuccessful. Louverture is a slave but his landowners is less strict and hostile compared to others. Therefore, he was literate. He later because a successful businessmen. After the revolution, slavery was removed from the law. However, he did not live to see the Independence. He was captured by Napoleon and took him to France, which later he died.

Both of these rebellion happen during a time when the casta system exist, a social system, defining you where you stand among society separated in groups. Amaru’s and Louverture’s rebellion main goal is to separate from their colonizers. Their rebellions is able to gather many supports, especially the working class. Indigenous and slaves are not treated well with equality as the others. In fact, they are seen as less than humans. Surrounded by hostile landowners who will even torture or whip
