Diez y seis one of Mexico's most celebrated holidays. It is celebrated on September 16. It shows that Mexico has its own freedom. The person that urged Mexicans to rise against the Spanish was Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. Mexicans gather in the middle of the city right before midnight, then at midnight when they here the Mayor or President say Father Miguel’s “grito” also known as cry for freedom they begin the celebrating at dawn. Next is Day of the Dead All saints day is November 1 They honor small children that have passed away they are named “angelitos” little angels. The following day is all souls day which is for older family members or friends that have died. Usually on this day people bring gifts and other ritual to altars or
