Do people think shooting a gun is more important than speaking? This person is now scared to exit their house, because they are scared of the dangers of gun. Now they are relating to the 1st and second amendment. They think the 1st is better for many reasons. These people have the freedom of speech, religion, and press. These people think that if you are going to own a gun there needs to be laws limiting the amount of gun killings.
The 1st amendment is better for many reasons. We have the freedom to show expressions, we can laugh, say what we would like to say. Also, you can choose any religion you would like, with this amendment we are not excluded from anything just because of what color, language, or what you believe. According to Pbs.Org ''In addition, freedoms of speech, press, and petition make democratic self-government possible by promoting the open exchange of information and ideas.'' This shows that we have the right to believe what your heart desires. Lastly, we have the freedom of the press, you can write a newspaper with my opinion on it or what we would like to write. That is why the 1st amendment is more important than the 2nd.

This makes people safer, to walk out of their home knowing they don’t have to worry about this.
