The two best selling novels “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Night” had different settings.
In “Night”, the locations differed throughout the novel. The book started in Sighet, Hungary, then Elie was transferred from one camp to another through Germany and Poland. Whereas in the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”, the location stayed in the town of Maycomb, Alabama, United States of America. Another difference between the two novels was the time period. The best selling novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”, took place in the 1930’s, which was the time period of The Great Depression in North America, and many other countries around the world. And the novel “Night” took place during the Holocaust and was explaining Elie Wiesel’s life was like from 1944-1945.
