Differentiating Between Market Structures

A market structure in economics describes the state of a market with a lot of respect within its competition. There are different market structures that include, perfect competition, oligopoly, monopoly, and monopolistic competition. All of these market structures all do different services. Many different companies uses these to their advantage to make profit. Kudler Fine Foods is an organization that is a gourmet food store. It was established in 1998 by Kathy Kudler. She opened up many stores to operate. One of her stores called the La Jolla Store is doing great but the Del Mar store is not doing well. She opened up another store, Encinitas, in 2003, so that’s a total of three stores. Kathy works 24/7 and shows she is committed to her businesses and does many tasks that have to do with making, to purchasing, to stocking inventory Kathy and Kudler Fine Foods does not see themselves as a competition to others because how great they are doing. When it comes to Kudler Fine Foods’ customers they take it very responsible and do surveys to see how good of a job they are doing or what needs to be done better. These surveys show the company how their atmosphere is and how people like the freshness of the products. Kudler Fine Foods have not always received good surveys and the customers at one time did think costs were too high which did not turn out good for the new store that opened last.
