5) I strongly disagree with Ms. Manetti’s decision. The new reading program actually improved the students’ individual scores. Even if it didn’t raise them on the NSAT, it is helping them on an individual level. This may eventually turn into improvement on the NSAT because the students’ reading skills are improving. I feel like after only one year the results may not accurately show whether or not if the new reading program was effective. I can understand the frustration of taking the time to implement the new program and then it not having any results on the NSAT, but the first year of the program will always have problems that could prevent these scores from increasing. When you only try something for a year there will be no way of telling
