Imagine living every day in paranoia knowing that everywhere you go, everything you do is being observed and judged. Imagine being mocked and ostracised at school because you're "different". No one likes to be left out, so, Why do we judge? Why do we set a fire of hatred? Why do we discriminate? Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Today, I stand before you to talk about an issue that has haunted us for too long. Countless regulations are created to combat this issue…but…to no avail. The problem has been all over the globe and standing here today, I am on a mission to eradicate this issue once and for all! My fellow citizens, let us stand hand in hand and “Say No to Racism”.

The Racial Discrimination Act (RDA) was also passed in 1975. It seeks to promote equality and implements the principle of prohibiting discrimination against people on the basis of their race, colour, or ethnic origin. So much has been done to stop racism but why haven’t we changed? We, as an Australian society, love to play pretend.
