Disease has existed as long as the earth has existed and there is evidence that the first living thing is bacteria. Disease has also plagued not only humans, but also animals and other organisms, since the beginning of our existence and it is evident all throughout history. Some instances include the small pox infections of the Native Americans experienced due to the exposure of the Spanish settlers and Typhoid fever in the early 1800s within the United States. There are several examples of how various diseases test the strength of humanity itself, and by following natural selection, founded by Charles Darwin, we are able to conclude that every epidemic targets the vulnerable and beings that are not strong. The bubonic plague is referred to by several people as one of the deadliest diseases that is to have ever arisen throughout the existence of the human species. On the other hand, not only has humankind persisted through the Black Death, but there is another disease that is very well-known which has also caused several deaths, called Cancer. Similar to the Black Death, Cancer is also responsible for terrorizing humanity, causing millions of deaths. There are several instances in which the Black Death can be compared to Cancer one example being that they are both deadly and responsible for millions of deaths throughout history and currently, but also that there is no cure for either of them, however there are various treatments available that slow the progress of the diseases. Among these diseases lie the Black Death and Cancer, which are also known as two of the deadliest diseases that have been ever exposed humankind. There are several differences that are contrasted between the two diseases, the largest differences that are present between the two are not only the manner in which each disease is transmitted, but also how they both affect the human body in their own unique way. Although there are several differences, there are also many similarities that are shared between The Black Death and Cancer. Each disease is responsible for a large part in history and present day due to the massive amount of deaths caused by both diseases. Not only are each of the diseases responsible for millions of deaths, but another similarity they both share is that there is no cure or vaccine for either disease available to the public, which is why there were and are so many deaths caused by each disease.
