I am behind the wheel of my Kia Soul, and I am following my friend to her house for an after school study session. She is swerving out of her land, and braking unnecessarily. She’s not under the influence, she’s a distracted driver. Once her phone dings with a notification she cannot help but to check it. It’s only a matter of time before that instragram like, becomes crash and the end of her life.
According to Distracted Driving.gov, The Official US Government Website for Distracted Driving, 3,179 people were killed, and 431,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers in 2014. AT&T's Teen Driver Survey states that 97% of teens agree that texting while driving is dangerous, yet 43% do it anyway, as posted on DoSomething.org
