How dangerous is it when someone is distracted while driving? It is very dangerous when someone is distracted while driving because they are not focused on the road, they are trying to do two or more things at once, and they increase the risk of accidents. When someone is distracted while driving they really aren't focused on the road. In How the Brain reacts it states “ Talking on the cell phone diverts the driver's attention and disrupts driving performance.” ( Marcel just + Tim Keller ). Drivers get distracted by small stuff such as using a cell phone.
