Living in a very small-scale, poor, rural community in southern Ohio is where I was raised. Where everyone knows everyone, and it's very common to see everyone at the corner store or at the diner right down the road. I strongly believe that the community that a person is raised in has a direct impact on who they are as a person. It affects their whole personality, their values, and their outlook on the world. Parents, friends, religion, education, and plenty of other surroundings all come into play when a person becomes who they are. To illustrate, I myself was surely influenced by my tight community while growing up. When I imagine a community, I see being near family and friends. Family is definitely a main priority in my life. I strongly value close relationships within my family. My mother was a stay at home mom, and I always had her if in an emergency. Nevertheless, my grandparents were always a couple minutes away if need be. I have always considered myself very lucky for my family being together often. …show more content…
Granted that, I met most of my friends in sports beginning with little league. Other friends I met in school, due to the fact, that we were in class together all day long. In truth, wherever I met my friends, they weighed a significance on everything about me from the music I listen to, the clothes I wear, to how I wear my hair. The effect that kids have on others is never ending and inevitable. Simultaneously, as I was playing little league, I was beginning kindergarten where I went to extremely undersized school in a small town. in fact, there was approximately 300 kids in my high school.
