I feel it is a natural reaction for your step daughter in the beginning to be confused, angry, and sad she wanted both parents to be together. You seem to make her feel safe and loved. However, that is not always the case when parents are not willing to communicate it makes it hard for the child. Sometimes the child manipulates the parents; there are so many variables that can cause the relationships of divorced parents hard on the child.
