“People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.”-Unknown. Julius Caesar, a 1955 play by William Shakespeare, is about an uprising against Caesar in Rome. A group of conspirators primarily led by Marcus Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus kill Caesar to try and end tyranny in Rome. Mark Antony is not of that group. He is on the opposite side. Mark Antony gave the most effective speech of the two.The reason why is because he has the respect of the crowd and they know he is trustworthy, he proves that it was unjust to kill Caesar, and lastly proves that Caesar was not a tyrant and that killing him would not end tyranny. Mark Antony is a trustworthy man and had the respect of the crowd.
