Does The Fall of the House of Usher by edgar Allen Poe a gothic literature story. The story is about a guy named usher who invites the narrator to his house and weird stuff happens and user sister dies leading to him dying. Gloomy, decaying setting,intense emotions , character in distress and air of mystery and suspense show that this story is a gothic literature.

This quote shows that there a character in distress because it’s saying the narrator thinks that he won't be seeing usher sister anymore. The narrator knows the sister is very ill and realises that she's gonna die and he won't see her anymore and there nothing he can do about it.
