Throughout my life I have always dreamed of traveling the world and helping the less fortunate. In the year of 2014 that dream became reality. I had the opportunity to travel to a small village in the Dominican Republic, and not only did I think that I had a small impact on the people living in that community, but they definitely had a great impact on my life. The village in the Dominican was like nothing i have ever seen before. Trash lined the streets, children ran around naked, and the houses were small mud or cement huts. The houses had a carved out square as a window and a rectangle for the door with nothing on them to protect them from anything coming in or out like bugs or rain.
