In David Zinckenko’s “Don’t Blame the Eater” he mentions how children are suing McDonald’s for making them fat. He states that most people will dismiss this as a laughable offense that will go nowhere in the court of law. (Zinckenko 241) He then goes on to say that he sympathizes with these children, because he was one of them. (Zinckenko 241) Zinckenko makes the argument that it is the government’s responsibility to provide adequate options for healthier eating. While Zinckenko makes a valid point, I do not agree. I believe that a parent should raise their child to understand what is healthy and what is not, one should be responsible for their own self, and that there is no reason to believe that people will listen if the government
