Do you think Dr. King’s assassination was just or unjust. The assassination occurred in Memphis, Tennessee at the Lorraine motel. Dr. King was killed by a man named James Earl Ray. The assassination of Dr. King was unjust because he was a great leader for the civil rights movement, he reunited our country; however some people believe that he caused chaos in the United States.

Dr. King was a great leader during the civil rights movement. “Some say that Dr. King represented African Americans in the civil rights movement”(Parks 245). The quote that i used shows how people thought of Dr. King. He represented African Americans and lead them to racial equality. In addition my claim was backed up with proof of Dr. King’s success. My proof includes what people thought of Dr.King and how he lead African-Americans to equality. That represented my claim that Dr.king was a great leader for the Civil Rights movement.

As a result Dr.King reunited the United States. For example, “The country was reunited today”(Parks 1). A U.S citizen spoke this quote after Dr.King signed the bill with Ronald Reagan to make MLK Day an official holiday. The quote I chose shows how a lot of people thought of This man and what he did for our country. In conclusion my explanation supports my claim because it explains what my claim means.
