Sample B was also the most like the evidence sample in the heat test, both samples liquified, made a sizzling noise, bubbled, and hardened into a charcoal-like substance. The evidence sample was the most similar to sample E and both substances didn’t dissolve in water. The evidence sample was most like sample E in the vinegar test, both samples bubbled lightly.

2) The brand of foot powder that was found at the crime scene was Dr. Stench’s Deodorizing Foot Dust. The team found out that the brand was Dr. Stench’s Deodorizing Foot Dust by testing each substance in each test. After all of the tests were completed, the team found out that samples B and E were the most similar to the evidence sample. The team was also able to eliminate sample D because of the iodine test, which turned dark purple and was not similar to the evidence sample. The team figured out that the brand, Dr. Stench’s Deodorizing Foot Dust was the most similar to samples B and E.

3) The team found out that the suspect who committed the crime was Tavaglione.

The most useful test was the heat test because in this test, the team was able to see the differences in each substance from the evidence sample. In the heat test, the team was able to see, hear, and smell each substance to find out which substance was the same as the evidence sample. The team was able to see the difference in each substance because of the outcome of the substance being heated up, sample B and the evidence sample both ended up in a charcoal-like substance.
