The fable of the dragon-tyrant is a story of a town that lives in fear of a dragon that lives on top of a mountain who demands thousands of people to be delivered every day as a tribute. The oldest people are selected to be sacrificed first because they have at least been given the opportunity to live a somewhat fulfilling life. There is seemingly no possible way to stop the dragon though many have tried.
Entire industries have been created around the dragon from studies on how to delay being sacrificed to organizing the transport of thousands of people to the dragon every day.
