The award I will be presenting to you all is the best male hip hop award. This award will be for the best in the hip-hop/ Rap game right now. This award acknowledges the artist who has put out the best and most singles in the music business today. It is an honor and privilege to be presenting you all with this amazing award. It is also an honor to be presenting this amazing artist to you. He has accomplished a lot more than any of us can do in a life time.

This special award is for one amazing artist who never fails to let his fans down, continues to make awesome music and is real with his fans as well as himself. He is one of the realist out right now. He continues to shoot up the charts with his amazing hits as well as albums. He has made his name known in the music business. He was born in Toronto, Canada on October 24 1986.This artist grew up with music in his blood. His father was a drummer for legendary rock star Jerry Lee Lewis, and his mother also from a "very musical" family. Growing up this artist was very different from his peers. He was black and Jewish and he claims his class mates did not understand that. However, he says "being different from everyone else just made him a lot stronger." This special artist made himself known in the music world off of his first studio mix tape titled So far gone. He also made himself know as an actor as well. Most of you know him by his starring role on Degrassi as Jimmy Brooks. He landed that role in the year of 2001. The show follows the dramatic lives of a group of teenagers at Degrassi High School. Sometimes he was called "Wheelchair Jimmy,” he was a basketball star who becomes permanently wheelchair bound when he is shot by a classmate. He starred on the show for seven years starting in 2001, earning a 2002 Young Artist Award for Best Ensemble in a TV Series. While he starred on Degrassi, he began his move into the world of hip-hop. He released his first mixtape, Room for Improvement, in 2006, achieving not a lot sales. He sold around approximately 6,000 copies. June 2009, this artist signed a recording contract with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment. He rose to stardom with the release of the mix tape So Far Gone in the year of 2009, which produced the s single "Best I Ever Had" and hit "Successful". After the success of So Far Gone, he prepared to release his first studio album, Thank Me Later. The album was released on June 15, 2010, and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The album has since gone platinum and has spawned the successful singles "Over" and "Find Your Love".
