Dreams are things everyone has, no matter your age or differences every human being has some type of dream. It's a goal, an idea that people work towards all their lives trying to achieve it, it's the motivating factor that encourages people to take huge risks, work harder , never give up and live in the present but unfortunately not all dreams come true. In ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ by Lorraine Hansberry, every character has a dream which all depends on the insurance money. It is because of this that not all of these dreams can be achieved and not everyone's dream deserve to come true. Mamas dream is simple she just wants a nice house with a nice garden in a nice neighborhood for her family to live in. However it is believed that other people deserve for their dreams to come true instead of Mamas. Nevertheless as Mama constantly works hard and has given up the most amount of things for her family, her dream is not only for her but for her family as well and has dealt with the greatest amount of hardship and challenges and it is she whose dreams deserve to come true. Throughout the book Mama has worked hard for her family and has given up the most things for her family. Walter who solely looks out for his own took Beneathas portion of the money. Beneatha constantly spends any money on her ‘hobbys’ and education. Mama works hard day and night for the family's future and her dream of a house with a yard should come true as she has given up the most things for her family, her dream is not only for her but for her family as well and has dealt with the greatest amount of hardship and challenges and therefore it is her dreams that deserve to come
