Drifting
Drifting is about man who was bitten by a snake and his journey to seek help. He was initially bitten by the snake near his family ranch and then he used his canoe to reach the nearest town where there was hospital but the problem was that the nearest town was over 5 hours away when traveling by canoe. He asked his friend for help but no one could rush to his assistance before that town. Although he felt a great deal of pain from the initial wound the pain eventually began to subside as he pondered when the last he saw his last employer was but then he stopped breathing.
Do you think the man may have been slightly intoxicated from all the rum he drank that inhibited from being able to function to best of his capacity in this situation?
Why didn’t his wife help?
Why would some be thinking about their former employer in a situation like this? Was it denial?

It reminded me of a movie I watched about an Indian Mathematical genius called “Infinity”. Even though the mathematical genius was from an impoverished country like India he died like a fly when he came to study mathematics in the first world country of England from Tuberculosis. But now that would have never happened or at least we would have been able to fight off the infection better. I believe this story was a great depiction of the lack of medical advancement for the last 999,000 years of human
