The addictions and deadly overdoses become apparent and they have an impact on sleep patterns, and it results in suppressed REM sleep. b. Benzodiazepines are used as a short term treatment for anxiety and insomnia. 2. Compare the various opioids (opium, heroin, morphine). What problems may result from their use? c.
