The drug trade in Nicaragua is both good and bad in my opinion and going into this project I did not consider trafficking to be this controversial or heartbreaking as it really is. The fact that people actually go out looking for kids to take away from their family and conduct suxual affairs is so sad. Also, the fact that some families and neighborhoods depend on the drug trade is just so different to me and I couldn’t have guessed that actually happens but, it is reality and we have to live with that. On another note, the military and police force are trying their hardest to get rid of it and that is inspiring. What I learned from this is that more is happening in the world than I thought and that the North really needs to stop sitting on our butts and start helping out ourselves and our neighbors one way or another. A simple solution to this problem is for the government not only to recognize what’s happening with the drug cartel, but also what happens when it is taken away from neighborhoods and families. For some people, they depend on trafficking just to get by. If they created more jobs and maybe lowered the requirements, I think everyone would have a very merry
