Duality is conclusively the existence of two distinctive, often antagonistic, and exclusive principles. In history, there has always been a conflict concerning a man's dual nature or simply good and evil. Aristotle originally thought that man were born with kindness and integrity. His mentor, the philosopher Plato, was the opposite, thinking that man had dual nature. Two books, Jekyll and Hyde, and Romeo and Juliet, show duality through many characters. In Romeo and Juliet, duality is widely shown through love and hate, however in Jekyll and Hyde, it is about a man’s dual nature, good and evil.
