A dystopian society is a made up place in a fictional story; it is an undesirable and frightening place to live in. It all starts with the antagonist because he/she is the one who starts to work against the protagonist, and then it leads to all the other events which turn the society into a dystopian society. The citizens don’t have emotional or physical freedom; there are always living under constant surveillance and are always controlled by the rulers. In some novels dystopian societies are sometimes thought to be utopian because of the cleanness and there are some things that are not allowed in a dystopian society but a few people wouldn’t care about those things, so for them it doesn’t make it a dystopian place.
