The United States has obtained success for all wars leading up to the Cold War. The Cold War is what continued to keep the U.S. prosperous for Americans in many ways. It was important for the U.S. to have this strong economic position towards the Soviet Union. It gave the country economic advantage in creating a banking system that benefitted the U.S. in providing loans to help reconstruct Europe as well as, saving the country from turning into a potential world of communism. Corporations are what helped the U.S. to maintain a safe and strong economic position. Also, other businesses managed to soar across the country, but also internationally. Along with this, the postwar American economy could expand its domestic consumer market in order to maintain its stability. In American history, the United States had economic benefits and advancements in technology such as military equipment, which led the U.S. to win the Cold War. Having these advantages at the end of WWII, the United States held an unprecedented global position and was the only major industrial nation that was not devastated by it.
