The Hunger Games movie is part of a 3 book trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. With how popular the book was and how many copies they sold, the idea of a movie came up. The Hunger Games was filmed in several different locations, a couple of them being in the mountains and Ashville of North Carolina. The movie was filmed in the spring of 2011, and released in March of 2012. The filmed stared Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson.
