Edgar Allan Poe was and is a well-known writer and poet. His stories and poems of mystery and loss gave him the nickname the "Father of the Detective Story." The stories and poems captivated the minds of the readers and still do. Poe's stories might have been just been stories same as his poems but where did the idea come from? His poems and stories all have a piece of Edgar Allan from love to lose from a young age.

Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born into a family of one mother and two brothers, father left.
