Choices are made everyday. Some are big, and some are small. Every choice affects someone in either a good, or bad way. In the novel, Tangerine, by Edward Bloor, Mom makes many choices. Choices made by Mom affect the main character, Paul by restricting him from playing soccer, viewing himself as stupid, and gaining, and strengthening many relationships.
One choice Mom made was to fill out an IEP form for Paul, resulting in him not being able to play soccer. Soccer was part of Paul’s everyday life before he moved to Tangerine. Mom made this choice because she felt the school should know abou Paul’s disability. Paul is legally blind but his thick glasses help improve his vision.
