Interpersonal Communication

Many people have different ways to express themselves to others, and they may not always be in sync with each other. According to “Shared Talking Styles Herald New and Lasting Romance” by US News , they speak about conversation and the impact it has or can have in one’s relationship and/ or friendship., I think that this is a very interesting article because it shows that even two strangers could have similar matching ways of communicating. There are many forms of communication and even more ways of one’s comprehension within a conversation.
Two people that are on the same wave length will have excellent communication between them. I’m in a 2 year relationship with a wonderful man, and I tell you that it has not been a picnic in the communication department. You find yourself only listening to half of what that person has to say until it becomes a problem to one or the other person. By problems I mean “Did you pay the bill yesterday like I asked”? And why did you put mustard on my sandwich? I thought you knew I hated mustard. After years of communicating with each other we have found a common ground. And that ground was built on learning about each other, likes and dislikes and respecting the other person’s feelings.

Compared to other IMs that we have analyzed, your LSM score is slightly below average. To give you an idea, most LSM scores for IMs range between .75 and .95, with an average around .84. The more that two people are paying attention to each other in their interaction, the higher the LSM.
Personally, I am not sure how I feel about the accuracy of this study. Experiments of such type are only exact to the one’s that have an intention for them. Where someone can prove something like this to be true, another can and most likely will find a flaw within
