Feedback is an important part of education, personal development and training programs. The term it is used to describe the helpful information or criticism about prior action or behavior from an individual, communicated to another individual who can use that information to adjust and improve current and future action and behaviors (cite). It is essential for policing organizations to include feedback as it helps a person to improve and enhance their performance and that information can be used to make better informed decisions. It also enriches the knowledge of its employees and help them become better at their specific field which it will benefit not only the organization but the whole community. Both positive and negative feedback is very useful. It is important information as an individual or group can value as it will be used to make important decisions at work and in any kind of situation. For a policing organization it is essential not only to be good at accepting feedback but to also ask for it. Effective feedback has its benefits for the giver, the receiver and the whole organization. There are 5 important reasons why feedback is important and why we must always apply it within policing organization.
