1. Executive Summary

This memo is to analyze the success of the information technology tool, the eHealth mobile app. This tool can be helpful in using it to address the failure of healthcare.gov. eHealth is a mobile application for smart phones, that provides a selection of health insurance plans. It made its first appearance on the internet in 1997. Since then, it has evolved to a mobile app where consumers can search for plans within the healthcare marketplace. The mobile application can be downloaded and used by anyone with a mobile phone. The app shows health insurance plans that are available in the local area, provides quotes and information for both families as well as individuals.

2. Main Section

The eHealth app has provided continuous online tools and resources that have helped to address the failure of healthcare.gov. While the healthcare.gov website was not available, ehealth was able to aid as a support by being able to provide the information citizens could not find. eHealth has helped to revolutionize healthcare by allowing consumers to shop for health insurance plans while also having licensed agents on-call for support.

A good healthcare strategy would be to recommend a way that citizens can always have access to their healthcare plans whether they are home or on the road. More mobile apps should be implemented into the healthcare system.
