On the night of April 14,1865, John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Lincoln. Two people who reacted to lincoln’s assassination were Elizabeth Keckley and Dr. Samuel Mudd. Keckley was sad about lincoln's assassination ,but Dr. Mudd wasn’t.

One person who reacted to lincoln’s assassination was Elizabeth keckley. Frist “When I heard that the president got shot I felt as if the blood had been frozen in my veins, and that my lungs would collapse”. When keckley received the news that president got assassinated she was in a deep shocked. Additionally when Mr and Mrs. lewis her friends tried to calm her down she couldn’t and was disturbed. “They tried to quiet me, but gentle words couldn’t calm the wild tempest.
