In my opinion, I thought Elizabeth Scott the author of this book did an okay job on it, I wouldn't say it's the best book I've read though. This is the first book I read by Elizabeth Scott. This book is just about the same thing from the beginning to end. It kind of repeats itself throughout the book. This book could be realistic, all this could actually happen. I think there's been a lot of teens in this type of situation where they like someone, but won't tell them because they're afraid, and then out of nowhere one of there's friends like them too. I would read more books by Elizabeth Scott, they’re not terribly bad. It was understandable, but sometimes it would get out of order, and it goes back to the past. That's when I would sometimes …show more content…
“I knew from Brianna that being beautiful wasn’t all great. Brianna had changed in middle school. One day we were both seventh graders and the next, she was a supermodel who had a seventh grader for a best friend.” (Scott). I thought she was a really rude character, she treated her “best friend” very poorly. She doesn't have great parents like Sarah though. Her parents are getting divorced and so she's never with them. I can understand why she has that type of attitude, but it shouldn't matter, however she can still be a very harsh person. Even though Sarah has liked Rayan since 8th grade, that doesn't really matter because Brianna and Rayan are now a couple. “ I liked him first, but it doesn't matter. I still like him. That doesn't matter either. Or at least, it’s not supposed to.” (Scott 1). One night Ryan drives Sarah home and they kissed. Which Sarah felt very bad and didn't know how to tell Brianna. Ryan said he liked Sarah and they he was going to find a way to tell Brianna. Sarah tries to not have feelings for him, because she feels like she's betraying her best friend. “I wished it had never happened because then I wouldn't think about it as I'm falling asleep.” (Scott). Brianna would make her best friend not feel pretty by telling Sarah she's isn't social and that she’s boring. Brianna would always tell Sarah what to do, where to go. I don't think that is what real friends do. This book made me realize that Brianna wasn't really a true friend. In conclusion, this book wasn't really my favorite. It was an okay book. Sarah couldn't date the love of her life because Rayan is Brianna’s boyfriend, and Brianna is supposedly Sarah’s best friend. The unwritten teenage code of ethics says it is not right to you’re your best friends boyfriend. Even though you might have liked him first. It's was really hard for Sarah to not show her feeling towards Ryan, but in the end two feelings
