ICC will not offer marriage or family counseling. ICC will not offer counseling to those under the age of 18. In the event Ms. Pifer suspects a client may need medication along with traditional therapy she will refer them to a qualified Psychiatrist. Ms. Pifer will work with individuals who feel they may be developing a substance use disorder. However, she reserves the right to refer them to a detox and rehabilitation facility if she feels they need this level of care. Once they have gone through the program she will continue with the client if they wish. Those with severe mental disorders will be referred to Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital as they are better equipped to work with this specific population.

Additionally, ICC is dedicated to providing these services in an extremely ethical manner following the guidelines set forth by the ACA Code of Ethics (ACA, 2014). As stated throughout this proposal, the client is the most important component of the practice. Only best practices guidelines will be used with clients. Ms. Pifer will remain flexible and open to making changes to her original ideal practice proposal.
