Why a Emergency Medical Technician?

I knew its something that I want to do for a long time. But I never really thought about why I wanted to be an EMT. So I have had to really ponder upon this passion that drove me to become an EMT. So I reflected on my encounters with the medical first responders. Also my desire to serve others in need. So I come from a family of eight. My parents three sister and two brothers. We lived on a farm and did the whole 4H thing. My father was a Hanford fireman/EMT. He loved his job and misses it. My mother took over a cemetery 2001 and still maintains it. Both of my parents taught us kids a lot of good moral values to help us in life. Living on a farm injuries will happen. So if dad was home us kids would consult dad abput our injury, from there we would take care of it ourselves. If we could get away with it out have to go to ER. One morning I was out helping doing chores. someone had parked the tractor and quad in front of the hay. The only way to get to the hay was going over the quad. As I was about to climb over the quad , I notice that the pitch was on the ground . So I picked up and leaned against the quad. I climb up to get the hay to hand off to my sister to feed., I went back to get my arm load of hay. Well only one way down. You probably have figured it out. I jumped off the quad. Now I did not feel it go through my boot in to my foot.. I took me trying to move my foot a couple times forward, to be like why is my foot not wanting to. So I looked down and realized why I could not move it. So I calmly called my sister over to go get me help. Never seen her move so fast screaming like I was dying. It became after a Family affair , everyone at home showed up to see what happened to
