Emily Anne Rigal Teen Activist

Emily -Anne Rigal is a teen activist who is fighting to make bullying stop. In her life she has been bullied before which made her want to fight this cause that is happening worldwide. She has a great cause, and great friends who help her try to conquer the bullying happening everywhere. How She Was Bullied: The big reason why Emily is now a teen activist is that she was someone who was bullied. She realized that bullying is happening a lot more often, and she tries to stop it after she had that painful experience. When Emily - Anne Rigal was 9 years old she was bullied about her weight at school. When she was bullied she was so ashamed that she tried to cover it up which made it worse. After she was bullied so badly, she became a bully herself. She chose to exclude people, and not to let them do activities with her. For example only 1 out of every 10 targets from bullying tell a parent or trusted adult about bullying/cyber bullying abuse. Another very despairing thing about bullying is that 2 out of 3 teens are verbally or physically harassed each year. Along with that those teens that don’t tell their parents can commit suicide because of how out of hand the bullying becomes, and they are too scared to do anything else. The victim might be too scared to do anything, because the bully is threatening that person. When Emily was being bullied she had her problem get so out of hand that she changed schools, like many other targets. Bullying can lead to a depression while or after they get bullied. Most people don’t realize that a bully probably has been bullied before. It could start at times throughout life from pre-school to being an adult.
