Each generation, including our parent’s generation and even our grandparent’s generation, have been faced with a multitude of different attributes given to them by outsiders. Whether they be good or bad is up for debate; however, it is a generational wright of passage. Millennials are now the ones in the spotlight in our ever-changing world. Based on studies, found by the Lucky Attitude blog, millennials are known to be more technology dependent, educated, confident, career/money oriented, and civic oriented compared to past generations. Although there is some controversy about this, most millennials can generally agree that these traits can be attributed to our generation. She has gone to the most prestigious colleges such as Brown University and Oxford University, but has never studied acting which she is most known for. She is more than just an actress and consistently shows how important an education is. For example, she formally said that after working in the Harry Potter films she would never have to work again; however, she continued to further her education anyway (Lee 2015). Even during her pursuit of an education, she continued to act and travel the world helping other women to get educations for themselves. Emma’s education does not stop purely at her scholarly pursuits, she furthers her education in her humanitarian efforts. Her work ethic in terms of education is why she is a millennial icon. Millennials have the drive to go to college and pursue even further education unlike those before us. We know that education opens doors to many different opportunities in life and is needed to be successful.
