Emmett Louis Till was born July 25,1941 in Chicago,IL and was raised as the only child of (Mamie Till & Louis Till). - african americans or black people were known to be involved in The Civil Rights Movement (for african american equal access to opportunities equal rights)he didn’t know his father but,as Till begin to grow he was a very responsible,funny young man people used to say and also attended A all black school (McCosh Grammar School) or an elementary school but Sadly Till was known to have polio - a disease that can’t be cured at the age of 5. As he fought this sickness now at the age of 14….One afternoon Till was going to visit his relatives in Mississippi but , Mamie Till didn’t want him to. But he was muscular,strong young man. When Till arrived he went to his great uncle house and his relatives welcomed him . So later that day Till and his relatives or cousins went to a local store for food and more. One of Till cousins gave Till a dare to do and it was flirt with the counter lady(white) her name was Carolyn Bryant 21 years . She was married to a man name Roy Bryant who was a truck driver was her husband.
