“It is very important for organizations to recruit qualified individuals with the optimum skill sets matching organizational goals and objectives” (Youssef, 2012). This is why the type of recruit used by employers is very essential in the selection of certain applicants. Some organizations have strategic plans allowing them quick and easy access to applicants that may be qualified for a position. Some organizations promote their business by using different tools that may attract talent or allow a flood of applicants to apply so they can hash through searching for the best fit for a position. An example of promoting a great selection of possible employees would be web recruiting which opens job boards and career websites to be available to applicants. These sites make it accessible for an easy variety of opportunities that may fit the individual best. It also allows organizations to save funding on advertisement and applicants on travel expenses from shopping around different organizations seeking for availability and allowing them and applicants easy access to applying and or finding the best applicants for the position.
Another employee selection tool would be unsolicited resumes and applications. Organizations that allow individuals seeking job opportunities to submit applications and resumes even when a job is not available allows them to pick from a great selection of applicants and also allows them to save money from advertising. “Employees hired through unsolicited applications will likely be more committed to the organization, perform better, and provide a long-term human advantage for the organizations they seek to associate with” as mentioned in section 4.1 (Youssef,
