The theme in the book Ender's Game is that no matter how young you are or how much people undervalue you, you can always prove them wrong!

Ender has regularly been underestimated by his peers. Others have always thought he was too young to be on a team, let alone to be a commander. The only person to believe in Ender is his commander, Graff. Ender’s first commander, Bonzo, treated him with no respect. However, about two years later Ender is embarrassing him with his own army. This shows that a much more experienced, older Bonzo who once had the edge over Ender is now losing to a much less experienced, younger Ender.
