I have been a student at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) for one year. I appreciate that I can reflect on myself through this essay, and I had an opportunity to take a RENG92 class to improve my English skills, especially writing, as well as Prof. Pope to teach me things that I did not learn in the RNEG 91 class. Many things have changed now from where RENG 92 class started; therefore, I could find my weakness and strength, furthermore, I could know how I should prepare for ENG 101. One of the weaknesses I have in this class is writing essay. If I dig deeper into the weakness, organizing my thoughts was hard. Even though I have many ideas and thoughts for writing essay, it was hard to organize them. So I put similar ideas and thoughts together, and eliminate useless thoughts to make essay simple and neat. Another weakness is that I made grammar errors a lot. When I had the first essay in this class, I had a feedback on first essay. It was all about my grammar and spelling errors, so she sent me the tutoring center to fix my problems. As I revised my essay, I could understand my problem that I made mistakes. …show more content…
First strength is that I always try to submit my works on time because it makes my feeling bad that I submit homework over due date, and it is avoiding duty of a student; therefore I could get best points on homework assignments. Another strength that I have is revising essay. First, if I have to revise essay, I skim through essay to find what errors I made mistakes like spelling, grammar. Next I revise all mistakes I have, and I check what information I missed. Lastly, I study mistakes I made to minimize my mistakes on next essay. I realized and understood how revision is important because I always have gotten better
