When entering English 101 I was scared and nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. In high school we weren’t required to write many essays so I barley had any experience with writing. We would write essays but when they were graded they were rarely graded for grammatical errors. They were mainly graded on the content. I wish I had received a better experience with writing because then I wouldn’t be struggling as much to complete college level essays. After finishing English 101 I felt more confident in my writing because my teacher was such a big help. Before entering English 102 I was nervous because I knew all the paper we would have to write would be much more difficult than in English 101. English 102 wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be because the professor had us do journals that helped us along the way in the writing process. Being so close to finishing English 102 I feel as if I have came along way from where I first started. My professor has been a huge help to me this semester. Finishing English 101 and 102 has made me have more confidence in my writings and myself.

The biggest problem I have as a writer I did not know all the grammatical error rules. This is has to be one of my weakest areas dealing with my writing skills. I was never really taught the rules of grammar so I was basically learning from the beginning when entering English 101. Another area where I need to improve my skills is word choice and organizing my thoughts better. I can write a full essay but after I have to go back and fix so much because my thoughts are everywhere. I basically type how I talk and that needs to be fixed. I still have many things that need to be fixed with my writings but I plan on improving them more in my other English
