Enter the world of my dreams, my life, my future, and my lies. This portfolio awakened my creativity. I am artist that uses writing equipments such as pencil to draw. I used to write short poems but I stopped when I went to college. As a political science I major, I needed to write my papers based on facts. I have always thought making my own stories that are not based on facts but my own imagination. I love watching fiction movies and science fiction. I always thought that I can do better than them. I believe in myself that I can write a plot two times better plus I always have astonishing ideas. I want my work to inspire people. My English 581, The Writing of Fiction, prompts and text readings broaden my perspective and skills. Not only as a writer but also an individual. The early readings from the short stories, I learned styles such as comparing things to symbolize things such as the sexuality of a character. This gave me idea to include on my stories to come. This style is complicate but fun to do. The style that contains the two sides of the coins is hard for me to do but it is possible. The story presentation of “The Free Radio” that I did helped me looked closer to a story and share it with the class. The style I learned is that a narrator’s perspective of the main character. Everything is from the view of the narrator and I did have a clue on what was the main character was thing and that is an interesting style. The out of class writing prompt motivated me and I found my inner writing creativity. I am motivated by the fact that there are stories around me like the sun going home, the trees dancing, and random people walking by have their own stories.
