Today we are facing many changes in the environment in general, most of them caused by us humans, and sadly don’t seem to go any better, in fact they get worse every day more. I would like to talk about the most significant 5 in my opinion.

1. Over population. For me the most important, because all other problems come from the fact that we are saturating the planet, the population has tripled in the last 60 years, and in 1950 we were 2,555,982,611 and in 2012 we were more than 7,000,000,000 and it keeps on going. Sexually risky behaviors and financial issues are just few of the many factors that cause the over population
2. Contamination. Soil, water, and air are polluted by chemicals compounds that take years to dissolve, and all of these as result of our lifestyle, motor vehicles and industries. Today’s day’s contamination is affecting over 100 million people, that’s comparable with global diseases like Malaria and HIV. There is a fact that about 14 billion pounds of garbage are dumped into the ocean every year.
3. Deforestation. Since 1990 have destroyed more than half of the world’s forests. One of the biggest issues that is causing is the fact that seventy percent of the world plants and animal that live in forest are losing their habitats, which is also leading to species extinction.

5.
