Green Business Watch states, “Using reclaimed wood helps to preserve our forests by reducing the need for virgin timber”. In other words, Green Business Watch believes using lumber from previous buildings, barns, factories, and warehouses lessens the need for newer lumber. Lumber from older buildings and structures had a longer time to reach their full potential size, the wood from mature trees is stronger and less likely to split. They also had time to expand and over the years were able to dry out meaning the wood has a less chance of warping. Considering how reclaimed wood is being taken from various buildings which are no longer needed means there are multiple sizes that can be used for many projects. Carpenters can continue helping the environment by using recycled lumber as their preferred building material. By doing so our community will obtain more building by using less virgin wood and as a result, we can control the Earth's natural resources. Carpenters can benefit both the community and the environment by managing the environment's resources and construct a better and bigger …show more content…
