Maycomb is a nice little town located in Alabama. Most everyone is nice to each other, and it is very pleasant. One thing that isn't so pleasant is how equally people are treated. Some examples of how the equality could improve are when the Cunninghams couldn't afford a 25 cent lunch, and when Calpurnia took Jem and Scout to church, but one person wanted them to leave because Jem and Scout were white. A more major part where people struggle with equality is at the Court Case. Mayella (white) is in court against Tom Robinson (black) for raping her.
