Ernesto Miranda Case Summary

A man named Ernesto Miranda had addressed four different cases involving custodial interrogations. In each of these cases, the defendant is questioned by police officers or detectives. Ernesto is a Mexican and he lived in Arizona. He had mental instabilities and he didn’t finish school. Miranda was arrested at his home and was taken into custody to a police station where he was identified by a female. He was charged for raping and kidnapping. So he was interrogated by two police officers for two hours, then he written a confession. At trial, the written confessions were presented to the jury.
